Malcolm Daniel "Dan" Truett, 70, passed away suddenly on Dec. 28 while spending the holidays in Colorado. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force and National Guard. He was an avid hunter and loved spending long weekends at camp. His favorite hobby was fishing on Vilano Beach with his brother. He is preceded in death by his father, William Malcolm (Butch) Truett. He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Leesburg, Georgia; his mother, Yolande Truett Gentry of St Augustine; sons Dan (wife Kelly), Allen, Matthew and Christopher; two step-sons Johnny and Shane Hill; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Buster (wife Sandy) and a sister Gail (husband Glenn) and special friends, the Nagle Family. He was full of life and had an infectious laugh that everyone will miss. A memorial service will be held at the church of his ancestors and current St. Augustine family at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at Ancient City Baptist Church.
