Catherine "Cathy" Helen Keating was born Dec. 4, 1947, in Vancouver, Wash. A longtime resident of St. Augustine, Fla., she passed away March 6, 2011, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring, St. Augustine, after a brief battle with cancer.
She had been a retail manager at Big Lots in St. Augustine.
Cathy was raised in Portland, Ore., attending Kellogg Grade School and Franklin High School.
She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Booth Ports; her mother, Helen Catherine Ports; and her husband, Richard "Dick" William Keating.
She is survived in death by her daughter, Sherry Hale, of Gresham, Ore.; her son, Terry; her sister, Josephine "Joanna" Ports, of Portland, Ore.; her sister, Barbara Ports, of Beaverton, Ore.; her granddaughter, Ashley Tracewell, of Gresham, Ore.; her grandson, Corey Tracewell; two nieces of Beaverton, Ore.; her stepdaughter, Marcia "Kay" Keating, of St. Augustine; her stepson, Richard "Ricky' Keating, of St. Augustine; numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren of St. Augustine.
Graveside services will be held at Lone Fir Cemetery in Portland, Ore.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
