January 30, 1949 - October 11, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Bissell on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the age of 72 in Welland, Ontario. Beloved husband of Suzanne, much loved dad of son Graham Bissell (Cindy) and daughter Lizette Norio (Guy), cherished grandpa of Isabella, Alyssa and Julia. Brother of Sheila Duliban (Jim), Tia Taylor (Rick) and Cindy Bissell. He is predeceased by his parents Charlie and Thelma Bissell and his brother Terry. He will be deeply missed by not only his family but also the many friends that he had made throughout his lifetime.

In his life's journey he became a truck driver, business owner, member of the Fenwick Lions and honorary life member of the Welland County Motorcycle Club.

He had two great passions in life - riding his Harley with Suzanne holding on tight and Biketoberfest - an annual fundraiser event that began in 2002 in the Niagara Region that will forever be known as his greatest legacy.

Bruce always acknowledged the many volunteers that dedicated their time to Biketoberfest and hoped they received the same satisfaction that he did knowing their efforts allowed organizations like the Lions and Pathstone Mental Health to direct raised monies where needed the most.

In honour of Bruce, we would like to offer a suggestion. Sign up to become a volunteer even if it is only for one day and think of Bruce while you do it. Not only will you receive a sense of gratification, you will meet good-hearted people that may turn out to be lifelong friends just as he did.

In accordance with Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Pathstone Mental Health and Diabetes Canada.

Geraldine and I extend to Sue and all Bruce's family, our deepest sympathies.
Bruce worked together with us for many years in the trucking industry ( when it was fun to be a truck driver ) and we have retained many great memories of our times together. We had a lot if fun.
Sorry to see him leave us but he must be needed elsewhere more than here.
He was a true friend
