Has gone to be with the Lord in the early morning of Thursday, March 4, 2021 in her 78th year. Cherished mother of Angie Smith (Barry), Tony Cipriano and Gino Cipriano. Her dearest grandchildren were always the first thing on her mind Andrea, Hannah, Dylan, and Rebekah (Melissa and Andrew). She is survived by her brother Antonio Gerardo Maiorano (Giuseppina), aunt to Lina Caruso (Giancarlo) and Dina Maiorano and great-aunt to Ernesto, Anthony and Larissa Caruso. Predeceased by her granddaughter Sarah and her first husband Raffaelo Cipriano. Michelina worked hard whether it was in restaurants, Wabasso Welland Plant or cleaning houses to provide for her children. She was very particular, and everything had a place. She showed her love by baking and cooking for her family and friends, and she wanted to make sure no one was left hungry - if there were no leftovers, she would say she hadn't made enough. The last few years she enjoyed sitting on the front porch talking with people as they passed by and in her final hours, she remained determined - or as her family called it stubbornness. A private family service has taken place. Memorial donations to either Camp Oochigeas or the Juravinski Centre would be appreciated by the family. My deepest sympathies to the Cipriano family. I met Michelina back in 2004 through her son Gino my friend and neighbour. We shared conversations over the years when she would walk over to Gino’s house (she lived near by). Michelina would get a lawn chair and sit in Gino’s driveway with Baja, Gino’s yellow Labrador. There were times I stopped by her house and talked with Michelina on her front porch when out on my walks. Very nice lady and a loving mom to Gino and his siblings. My thoughts and prayers with her family and friends during this difficult time.
