August 17, 1960- March 6, 2021 Peter, unexpectedly, departed us while visiting his good friend, Gregg Sunstrum, in St. Catharines. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Kerrison-Leonard, his daughter, Christina (Chris) Theriault, grandchildren: Ally, Xander, Lydia and Jared, step-children: Samantha (Chuck) Stayton, Kendall (Jason Conklin) Atkinson, Rheanna Atkinson (Mike Sansalone) and seven step-grandchildren who call him "Papa Pete The Pirate." He is survived by his siblings: Dianne (Kevin) Campbell, Coleen (Ron) Watson, Paul (Leslie), Shawn (Rose), Chris (Hallie), Cathy (Dan) Pupo and many nieces and nephews and their families. Peter also leaves behind four step-children and many step-grandchildren from previous marriages. Peter is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Catherine (nee McCarthy), his son, Corey, and granddaughter, Trinity Fick. Peter worked as a Wheelsman on CSL's Rt. Hon. Paul Martin. He lived life to the fullest and had such a huge heart ... always giving. He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends. Peter really enjoyed hanging out by the fire with his father-in-law, Rick Kerrison, uncle-in-law, Randy Kerrison, and his step son-in-law, Chuck Stayton. Peter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He truly was a joy to every person he met in his life. In honouring Peter a private family service will be held in the future. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society or The Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated while keeping Peter's mother, Catherine, in mind.
