With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved Dad and Papa, on March 14th, 2021 at 86 years of age. Predeceased by loving wife Florence (nee Krayewski); adored dad to Jo-Ann (Bob), Jeff (Lynn) and Mark "Mickey" (Michelle); proud Papa of Jaime, Brian, Kevin, Jenny, Katie, Billy and Scotty, and loving uncle to many. Dad also leaves behind his sister Barbara (Jack), sister-in-law Holly, and great friend and brother-in-law Earl (the late Dolores). He is also predeceased by brother Ed and parents William and Rita. Dad and Mom loved spending time with their children and grandchildren and were always there to proudly cheer us on at school and sporting events. They always looked forward to the twice-yearly drives to their favourite vacation spot, Myrtle Beach, in pursuit of the nearest mini-putt and breakfast diner, as well as the flea market and a good pizza & wings or seafood dinner. Bill loved golf and playing cribbage and never let any of us forget that he had scored a hole-in-one and a perfect crib hand. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle and reading, before losing his sight in his early seventies. Dad still loved to dance and enthusiastically attended family gatherings, and he never passed on the opportunity to go out for a good meal. Bill retired from Ferranti-Packard Transformers, where he had worked for 46 years and continued to talk fondly about his buddies at the plant. A special thank you to the staff at Pioneer Elder Care for taking such good care of Dad for the last several months. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. On-line Guest Book - https://simplertimescremationcentre.ca/
