Maria ZINATELLI

With great sadness we announce the passing of Maria Zinatelli (nee Fusco) at the age of 97 on September 10, 2021, at Rapelje Lodge. Predeceased by her husband Alghiero (2005), her parents Domenico and Francesca Fusco and eight siblings. Loving mother of Antonio (Tony) and his wife Antonietta (Forgione), Mario and his late wife Dale (Masterson) and Franco (Frank) and his wife Anne (Dumas). Maria leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces and relatives, including many in Italy. Maria enjoyed taking care of her family and friends and baking and gardening. The family would like to thank the staff at Rapelje Lodge for the marvelous care they gave to Maria. The family will receive friends at JJ PATTERSON & SONS FUNERAL RESIDENCE, 19 YOUNG STREET, WELLAND, Thursday from 3-7 p.m. Vigil will be held at 3 p.m. In keeping with current Covid-19 Provincial Restrictions, capacity is limited within the funeral home, church and mausoleum. Masks and social distancing while waiting to enter are mandatory. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Church Friday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Pleasantview Mausoleum. If desired, donations to St. Mary Church or Rapelje Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
