Memories and Condolences

Not sure what to say?

Hello Barb, Mary and family.
Mr. Doering was the way I knew him at Wittenberg High School from 1957-1961. He was my favorite teacher. He gave this farm boy from Hatley, WI the desire to seek more education. He believed one could find green pastures on the farm or off the farm if one had a good education. After I graduated from Marquette Law School, I visited with him a number of times at his speaking engagements. He was a master speaker and educator and a humorist. He made people laugh, smile and learn with his special brand of humor. I am sure everyone who knew him always enjoyed the moments with him. He was the best of best for farmers and all of us who were inspired by him in so many ways. God Bless his family and God rest his Soul.

Floyd was an enthusiastic man and a great leader in serving the FFA. I was fortunate enought to know him as a State FFA Officer, and marveled at his ability to remember names, he was one of those peopel who had the ability to brighten a room with his entrance. We had a special joke between us in that I lived only a couple of miles from Doering, WI, the town he joked was named after him.

Dear Mary, Chris, Jim,

I know that at his age, your father's passing was not unexpected. But that doesn't make it any easier. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Floyd was a great leader in the DPI as an Ag. Consultant & FFA State Director. In 1970 he convinced me to stay in Ag. Education and I'm forever grateful for that decision.
