I always loved it when Bud wouldask me to sharpen a drill or cutting tool for his lathe. It felt good to have a small skill thatpertained to his world, and it was an honor to have gotten to know both him and Sarah. It's no wonder their kids turned out so well!

Tom,
As you know your parents great contributions to the world included their support of Frame Memorial
Church and the various levels of the Presbyterian
Church USA. I am proud to have been a friend of each of them. I wish you the very best.

In large part, I've dedicated my thesis, and career at UWSP/WSU-SP to Bub Eagon and James Albertson. Especially Burdette Eagon. Longtime Wisconsin Team Chief-of-Party, Dr. Burdette Eagon. Bud opened his home, educational dexterity and intellect to me, revealing a treasury of project-related resources and educational wisdom. I am indebted to Bud for the courtesies extended to me. I feel privileged to have witnessed the paramount of amity and love that Burdette and Sarah Eagon infinitely have spread to countless others, from their educational presence in Stevens Point to the furthest continents of the world. The Eagons' life work, words, and actions constitute a core curriculum for educational righteousness. I turned to Bub for historical corroboration and advice, and found a legacy of educational validation and a true friend. We've lost a great educator, true friend, mentor, and legacy at UWSP/WSU-SP. Always yours, Tom Reich, UWSP Librarian/Professor

A good man. I got to know Bud through the Menominee Clans Story. The only winter decorations in my home are my cherished collection of Buds Christmas Card ornaments. With deep fondness...Karen Ann

I first met Bud when I became chair of the Biology department and got acquainted with him at our yearly awards banquets. His generous, caring nature were obvious to all. I am glad to have known him.

Condolences to the family. Bud was one of the parents of my classmates (Brian) who I admired very much.

Bud always had a smile and a kind heart. A fond memory is Bud showing kids how he made Christmas ornaments at the Rising Star Mill Art Show. How wonderful that he lived to the age of 100 and that he died in the trees. People of all ages will miss him. An artist friend, Jan Ronchetto

Eagon Family,
Your dad was the best!! My parents enjoyed many good times with Bud and Sally especially at LRC functions. My dad always said that Bud was a great Dean to work for when they both worked at the campus library. When my youngest daughter was graduating from UWSP Bud called her up to say congratulations and to tell her how proud her grandpa would be (he had since passed) of her. He was really one of the "good guys."
