James E. "Jim" Glodowski

Stevens Point - James E. "Jim" Glodowski, age 60, of Stevens Point died on Saturday, October 6, 2018 while doing one of his favorite pastimes, fishing. Jim was born on December 17, 1957 in Stevens Point, the son of Edward and Elizabeth (Miller) Glodowski. He attended and graduated from SPASH in 1976. Jim was united in marriage to the former Linda Helminski on November 4, 1978 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. James was employed at Consolidated Papers for nearly 30 years and recently with Ortho Molecular Products. He was a member of Family Church, former member of the 12 Apostles Musky Club as well as the Bill Cook Chapter of Izaac Walton League. He loved to hunt and camp, but especially loved being with his family enjoying fishing and outdoor activities. Laurel Lake Campground could be re-named "The Glodowski Retreat." Jim was a compassionate man, always lending a helping hand to those in need. One could always count on him for a good "dad joke" or one-liner; he brought smiles and laughter to whoever he talked to. Jim is survived by; his wife, Linda; their children, Amber Glodowski of Stevens Point, Jenna Glodowski of Madison and Scotty (Heidi) Glodowski of Stevens Point; his grandson, Elijah; two brothers, Mike (Phyllis) and Bill (Patti) Glodowski both of Stevens Point; and numerous other relatives and many, many friends. Preceded in death are Jim's parents, grandparents and nephew, Jesse. Jim always referred to me as his favorite Brother in Law and he in turn was mine. He always brought a smile to my face, was there for me when I needed help on anything and truly treated me as his brother. I will miss him deeply and am so sorry for the loss of a good husband, father and friend.
