Stanley F. Zynda Jr.

Formerly of Rosholt, died Sunday July 7, 2013 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards. Age 70 Stanley was born November 13, 1942 in Stevens Point, WI. He was the son of the late Stanley and Susan (Guzman) Zynda Sr.

He attended St. Peters Grade School, Sacred Heart Grade School in Polonia and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

Stanley entered the United States Army on June 24, 1964 in Milwaukee, WI. He served as a Spec. 4th Class serving in Germany. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Rifleman's Badge and the Drivers & Mechanics Badge. He was honorably discharged on June 15, 1966 at Fort Hamilton, New York.

His marriage to Patricia Bronk took place on October 22, 1966 at St. Ladislaus Catholic church in Bevent. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Patricia preceded him in death on July 24, 2007.

Besides working on his dad's farm, Stanley was employed at Cornell Paper mill in Milwaukee for a number years, and then Lullabye Furniture in Stevens Point.

After his services duties, Stanley ran his older brother's milk route for him during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then bought his own milk route and hauled cans of milk for three years for Arnott Creamery.

He then began work at Consolidated Paper Mill (now Stora Enso) for over thirty five years until his retirement in 2003. Stanley loved hunting and fishing, eating at fast food restaurants and taking occasional trips to the Casino's.

Survivors include one daughter, Sarah Zynda-Lemieux (Scott Dye) of Wisconsin Rapids, three sons; Paul (Lori) Zynda of Wisconsin Rapids, Michael (Christa) Zynda of Rosholt and Walter Zynda of Wisconsin Rapids.

Further survived by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two Brothers; Raymond Zynda and Daniel (Mary Jane) Zynda both of Stevens Point.

Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, one son, David and two sisters Margaret Kaminski and Delores Gorecki.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday July 10, 2013 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. Msgr. Jeffery Burrill officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bronislava Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover, and from 9:30 AM Wednesday at St. Bronislava Church until the time for mass. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent by visiting
