Beloved husband of Madeleine Koch (nee Costa), dear father and father-in-law of Christine (Brian Orr) Peterson, Gregg (Jennie) Koch, dear grandfather of Blake, Paige and Kayla Peterson, our dear great-grandfather, brotherin-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend. Donald was recruited to play basketball at University of Missouri -Columbia (MIZZOU), was a Marine Corp Pilot 1st Lieutenant serving in the South Pacific during WWII, Athletic Director at the Marine Corp Air Station in Miramar, CA, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University with a degree in Engineering, Vice President at Fruin-Colnon Contracting, President of D.M. Koch Contracting, 50 year member of The Missouri Athletic Club (MAC), past President of Glen Echo Country Club, board member of St. Peter Claver, board member of Murphy Electric and an avid golfer. Services: Mass of the Resurrection Wed., Aug. 14, 10:15 a.m. at St. Louis Abbey (St. Anselm Parish), 530 South Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, MO 63141. I heard of Donald's passing just yesterday. My grandmother May-Jane Hofmann (Bathke) I believe is related to him. My prayers go out to you all. I wish I had had the chance to get to know him. Sounds like an amazing guy.
