Alexander-Weber, Judy On February 24, Judy AlexanderWeber (1957-2014) passed away after a 20-month struggle with brain cancer. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Weber; her mother, Denny Cumber; her father, David (Kay) Cumber; three sisters, Catherine Cumber, Seana Smith and Mary Ellen Rubel (deceased); three brothers, Steven, Thomas and David Cumber; her son, Scott Huffmaster; two daughters, Jenna and Christi Alexander; three step-daughters, Monique and Nicole Weber, and Sophia Boylin; one grandson, Ian Weber, and one granddaughter, Elise Huffmaster. Her family and friends feel a deep sorrow at this loss and will miss her passion for life, strength and unselfish care and concern for others. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia and attaining her CPA, Judy started a 15-year career at the Central Institute for the Deaf and eventually became the director of administration and finance. In 2004, she became the president and CEO of Emmaus Homes, a nonprofit organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities. Five years later, she accepted a position as vice-president and CFO at Clayco construction. She returned to non-profit work in 2012, serving as president and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Saint Louis. She received many honors, including being selected by the Saint Louis Business Journal as one of Saint Louis' most influential business women. She also served on several boards, including City Academy and Central Institute for the Deaf. Throughout her career, Judy advocated for people who could not speak for themselves within both political and business arenas. The Saint Louis community will miss her dedication and service. Judy's lively and energetic spirit was contagious, and she was an inspiration to the many people around her. For her family and friends, she was the rock that provided the foundation and the mentor who always made time. In her free time, she enjoyed taking trips to the beach, animals and especially dancing. We imagine her dancing her way into heaven. Services: Please join the family in celebrating Judy's life on Saturday, March 1, at 11:00 a.m at the Saint Louis Marriott West (660 Maryville Center Drive, Saint Louis, MO 63141). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the City Academy (4175 North Kingshighway, Saint Louis, MO 63115) or the Siteman Cancer Center (Campus Box 1204, 7425 Forsyth Boulevard, Saint Louis, MO 63105).

The Kolas Family has the entire Cumber family is in our thoughts and prayers. Judy was such and amazing woman and a beautiful soul. I will forever cherish the time we were able to share with her and will miss her tremendously. We should all take comfort in knowing she's still with us and now resting comfortably by Mary Ellen's side. I look forward to the day we see you again Judy. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear about Judy. It was a loss for all of us but that doesn't compare in any way to your loss. She was one of the most vibrant, "alive" women I have ever met. Her passion and spirit will have a last impressing on so many people and organizations. My thoughts are with all of those who loved and knew her.
