Dear George and MaryEllen,
Your father will always hold a special place in my heart. I enjoyed the many discussions we shared about a variety of topics. The more indepth, the better. I treasured and sought his opinion. I loved to get your Dad's take on whatever was happening in the world, particularly in the golf world. The obit sums it up...golf instructor emeritus. That's perfect. I'm sure he's helping people in heaven right now. He's probably helping Tom Benson get an additional 15 yards.
You have my deepest condolences

Dr Vournas, as I always called him, took care of my dad's heart, took care of my planned misadventures with subtle questions meant to re-focus my immature direction, and took great care of my closest friend, George more times than George would like to recall. He earned every bit of the respect held by all and deserves a high place in golf heaven. Barbara and I offer our prayers to all the Vournas family.

Dear Vournas Family
I will always have a special place in my heart for you all. Our parents shared so; many times together...as far back to when "Christos" was in Med school, Bellerive Acres, travels to Greece, Italy, and many places, Priory, Manresa meetings, dinner parties at Fairfield, your mom's rice pudding, Hilda, and so many good times. .Now together again.!
With love,
