Cory, you were my best friend. I think about you everyday. I had moved away in the past few years and instead of playing golf or poker every weekend we just talked every weekend. Over the past decade I think this is about the longest I haven't talked to you. I miss our talks and I will miss you. On behalf of Cory Wilson’s family, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to the area businesses, organizations, and volunteers that came together at our darkest hour. As we have all witnessed, Cory has touched many lives. His presence on this earth has made a great impact to us all. He is loved by many and will be dearly missed.
So many people, area businesses, organization and schools helped out in funding and organizing the dinner that accommodated 350+ people that was held at the American Legion after the service in Cory’s honor.
We cannot express enough how grateful we truly are to you all. To watch a community come together so quickly and just make things happen like they did, it was just amazing.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, generosity, selflessness, and hard work. The Cory Wilson Family truly appreciates it and will never forget it.

I never knew Cory, but from what I have read he was flawless. Just seeing his picture and his beautiful smile tells it all.
I am so sorry for your loss. No one should ever have to leave this world the way that Cory did.
My prayers have been going out to the ABB family since I have heard about this crime. It's going to take the rest of your life to heal. Cory will always be with you as long as you have a heart. Keep his memory alive.

Just like Jared, I have basically known you all of my life. I remember watching your high school games as my dad coached you. I also remember going to Mckendree games to watch you play. You were my hero when I was little and I also got to coach with you when I got older (now). You represent what the Kahok football program should be. You have shown what happens when you work hard and have shown our players the same traits that it takes to win. I'm sorry that you won't be able to see us get the program completely turned around, but this season will be dedicated to you. I'll always remember you as an older brother to me. It is truly a tragedy, for such a young life to be taken. It doesn't seem that long ago, that we as parents, were on the fields of Collinsville High School, cheering for our team in 1998. 1st 8-0 start, 1st Top Ten Post Dispatch Poll, 1st State Ranking, 1st 8 win Season, 1st State Home Playoff Game.Cory made East All-District Team in 1998, along with Nathan York, Kory Kimbrell, and my son, D'Marco Anderson.
