Cunliff, Edward H. Born on February 16, 1923 and passed away on March 9, 2018, at the age of 95. Beloved husband to the late Elizabeth Wilson Cunliff of 72 years; loving father of Ann Polster (Carl) of St. Louis and Jane C. Gray (Andy) of Lubbock, Texas; grandfather of five and great-grandfather of nine. Edward H. Cunliff loved St. Louis, friends, and family. He celebrated a life of gratitude. As a Navy ensign in the Pacific during World War II, he participated in the Battle of Okinawa bringing back POW soldiers from Japanese interment, and was Officer of the Guns aboard the U.S.S. Hopping. Services: All services held at Ladue Chapel and Bellefontaine Cemetery will be private. Donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital, Mary Institute Country Day School, or Ladue Chapel. Mom and I loved having dinner with your Dad and listing to all of his great stories. He had a great sense of humor and will truly be missed. Thinking of you and your great loss but know he is now with the love of his life, Betty.
