George D. "Boots" Weber

Weber, George D. Boots Lifelong Eureka resident George D. (Boots) Weber died peacefully at his home on November 19, 2012. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 19441947. Boots returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Roberta Harrison, in 1947. He farmed until the 1970's and worked as a correctional officer for the State of Missouri until retirement. Boots was a member of the American Legion O'Brien Post 177 and the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years. He had a lifelong interest in politics and community affairs. He served one term as Missouri State Representative from 1965-1966. He was preceded in death in 2001 by his wife, Roberta. He was also preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Weber, brother Elmer Weber, and sisters Irene Howald, Wilma Becker, Mary Hagemeister, and Helen Weber. He is survived by his brother, William F. (Bud) Weber. Boots has six children, Carole Weber Minkin (spouse, David), David Weber (spouse Cheryl), Chris Weber (spouse Sharon), Thomas Weber, Robert Weber (spouse Tena) and Dianna Weber Schepers (spouse Jeff). He has five grandchildren, Brian Minkin, Jessica Estes, Kathleen Weber, Alexander Schepers and Melissa Schepers. He has three great grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter and Seth. Services: A memorial service and Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church, Eureka, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Boots' memory to Sacred Heart Church, 350 E. Fourth Street, Eureka Missouri or to a charity of your choice.
