Cassidy, James M. 68, died peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2012 at his Chesterfield home. Beloved father of Steve (Nikki) Cassidy; cherished grandfather of Sofia and Dylan Cassidy; dearest friend of Liz Busselmann; loving brother of Tom Cassidy and Cathy Etter; uncle, cousin and loyal friend to many. Jim proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the 11th Calvary of the Army. He was an Art Teacher in the Ladue School District for 30 years and a Scenic Artist for the Muny Opera for 37 years. Jim was an avid member of the Midwest Model Vehicle Assoc. and the Military History Society. His collection included thousands of car models, countless soldiers and many of his own original paintings. Services: Memorial service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. Private family burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Wednesday, 10 am.
