Granville, Sister Jeanne, BVM Suzette 90, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Caritas Center. In the Archdiocese of St. Louis Sister Jeanne was director of North Deanery Catholic Elementary Schools; elementary school principal at Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. James the Greater, and St. Elizabeth in Crestwod, MO; and coordinator/director of social outreach programs. She was a teacher and/or principal in Chicago, Crestwood, Mo.; Jackson Miss.; and Hempstead, N.Y. Sister Jeanne was born in St. Louis, Mo., on May 6, 1928, to William and Mary Helen McKean Granville. She entered the BVM congregation Sept. 8, 1947, from St. Mary Magdelen Parish, St. Louis, Mo. She professed first vows on March 19, 1950, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Helen Bayless and Mary Elizabeth (Bette) Sly; brothers William and John. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 70 years. Services: Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:15 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018, in the Marian Hall Chapel followed by Sharing for Memories at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Burial is in Mount Carmel cemetery, Dubuque.
