Boyd, Neal Evans nationally-known vocalist, died June 10, 2018, in Sikeston. He was born November 18, 1975, in Sikeston and raised by his mother, Esther, alongside his brother, Michael. Neal was captivated by the Three Tenors and taught himself to sing in the operatic styles of Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. He earned degrees from Southeast Missouri State and Mizzou. Fans nationwide cheered for him on NBC's America's Got Talent. He won, headlined shows in Las Vegas, toured internationally, and released two albums. He sang for four Presidents and seven Governors, and was honored to be called The Voice of Missouri. Memorial gifts may be made to the Neal E. Boyd Endowed Scholarship, SEMO Foundation, 1 Univ. Plaza, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701. Services: Sunday, November 18th, at 3:00 p.m. at Academic Hall at Southeast Missouri State.
