Kiel, Virginia A. (nee Butler), of Webster Groves on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Loving wife of the late Chief Petty Officer Elmer A. Kiel Jr. U.S. Navy; beloved mother of Janey (Douglas) Gustafson Miller, the late Claudia Kiel Richards, the late Cynthia Kiel, Roxanne (Earl) Reiner, Stacy Kiel, Kelly Kiel and LCDR Elmer A. (Carrie) Kiel III, USN; loving grandmother of Shannon (David) Beck, Anthony (Tara) Kiel Reiner, Casey Smith, Sara Mammarella, Cassandra Kiel, the late Elmer Kiel IV, Kathryn Kiel, Henry William Tallis, and Julie (Jeff) Figg, Douglas (Jamie) Miller; great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Mrs. Kiel was a graduate of Eureka High School and Mrs. Hickey School of Business. She was a 50 year employee of St. Louis Maternity Hospital and Barnes, Supervisor for 25 years. A special thanks to her niece Katherine L. Butler for her love and support. Services: Funeral Services have already taken place on Saturday, September 15th, 1:00 p.m., HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa St. Private entombment at Oak Grove Mausoleum next to Elmer A. Kiel and his grandfather Mayor Henry W. Kiel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Barnes Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in memory of Claudia Kiel Richards RN.
