Carpentier, William A. 'Bill' 72, died at home Sunday, October 5, 2008, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Born in St. Louis on Dec. 11, 1935, to J.Roy Carpentier and Alice Elizabeth (nee Wallhermfechtel). Bill lived in Webster Groves for the past 45 years. A self-employed general contractor, he was a project manager for large commercial developments. He was a lifetime member of Holy Redeemer Parish, Webster Groves. He is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Schmidt); five children, John (Sallie) of Decatur, GA, Jim (Karen) of Webster Groves, Janice (Mark) Yawdoszyn of South Orange, N.J., Laura (Jeffrey) Hamilton of Granite City, IL, and Barbara (David) Byrd of Kirkwood; nine grandchildren; one brother, Jack of Springdale, AR, and one sister, Sister Elizabeth, O.S.U., of Alton, IL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and three sisters, Eugenia Klarsch, Helen Overkamp and Mary Mittler. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethesda Hospice Care, Webster Groves, or the .Services: Mass of the Resurrection, Holy Redeemer, Lockwood and Joy Avenues, Webster Groves, 10 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation with Family in Church foyer beginning at 9 a.m.
