Rose Dillberger-Bey

Dillberger-Bey, Rose (nee Mirjanich), age 93, died January 24 in San Diego. Mother of Alexa Dillberger; wife of the late Everett Bey, the late Hugo Dillberger and the late Howard Bowen; sister to Louis (Sarah) Mirjanich, Kathy (Charles) Pohle and the late Pat (Dermot) Edmundson; aunt and great-aunt to many. She traveled the world and lived, painted and studied in St. Louis, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Tehran, where she and Alexa fled Iran on the last plane after the fall of the Shah. She graduated from the Washington University School of Fine Arts, where she later taught painting for ten years. She was both a portrait painter and a commercial artist and received many awards at art shows. Her works are permanently displayed in several art museums. She was also honored as one of the 101 most influential Serbian-Americans.
