Barron, Joseph A., Jr. 73, of Granite City, Il passed away at 6:50 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 17, 1939, in East St. Louis, IL to Jose A. and Ramona (nee: Bernal-Rivera) Barron Sr. He married Mary L. Ortiz November 7, 1959 in Fairmont City, IL. Joseph owned his own business, Employer Services Company in the metro east area for over thirty years. He was of the Catholic faith and a past president of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (nee: Ortiz) Barron of Granite City, daughter, Linda M. Barron of Granite City, five sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph A. & Kathy Barron III of Maryville, David A. Barron of Granite City, Phillip A. Barron of Granite City, James A. & Briget Barron of Granite City, and Mark A. Barron of Granite City, two grandchildren, Joseph James Barron of Granite City, and Suzanne Rich of Granite City, one great grandson, Jak Buckingham of Granite City, brother and sister-in-law, Carlos & Shirley Barron of Belleville, three sisters, Marie Dolores Barron Johnson of Fairmont City, Elvira Barron of Belleville, and Dianna Barron of Collinsville as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hector Barron and Marcos Barron. Joseph requested that he be cremated and cremation services are entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL. A Memorial Service will be at a later date.
