Greiner, Richard Albert 1931-2013. Richard Albert (Dick) Greiner Sr. died Sunday, November 10th after a long illness. Dick was a loving husband and a caring, generous and dedicated father of 6 children, grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dick's family and friends knew him as a lifelong Cardinals fan, a longtime Union Electric employee, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima and St. Rose Philippine Duchesne church, a member of the Ferguson Lions Club, and a man who jokingly claimed to be 104 years old for the past two decades. Dick loved sports, the stock market, and a good homecooked meal. Beloved son of the late Marie and August Greiner; preceded in death by his loving wife Isabelle Washford Greiner, his sister Doris Greiner Plummer, his brother August (Bud) Greiner, and his grandson Daniel Greiner Jr. Survived by his brother, David, his sister-in-laws Pat, Susan and Norma; loving father of David (Fran) Greiner of Wilmington, North Carolina, Deb (Steve) Greiner Hutti of Charleston, Illinois, Jeff Greiner of St. Louis County, Dan (Rita) Greiner of St. Charles, Becky (Scott) Hill of Florissant, and Rich (Tina) Greiner Jr. of O'Fallon, Missouri. Beloved grandfather of 21 grandchildren: Krista, Arielle (Kyle), Mallory, Matthew, Tim (Emily), Patrick (Kristen), Heather (Sean), Jeremy, Erin, Brooke, Will, Ellen, Brett, Ava, Taylor, Cy, Tess, Richard III, Henry and Gus; and 5 greatgrandchildren, Diana, Eva, Violette, Max and Cosette. Services: Visitation 4-8 pm Friday at the HUTCHENS Mortuary, 675 Graham Rd., Florissant and procession 9:15 am Sat., Nov. 16 to St. Norbert Church, Florissant, for 10 am Mass. Interment St. Ferdinand Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
