When all of the family would get together, Uncle Jack and Uncle Chuck would never say they were too tired to play Indian ball for hour after hour. He was always ready to do whatever it took to make sure everyone had a good time. His smile and gentle nature always made everyone feel loved.

Uncle Jack was the kindest gentleman you could ever meet. The Scanio house was the most kid friendly place on Earth. Massive breakfasts and a yard transformed into a baseball (whiffle ball) diamond. Uncle Jack and Aunt Billie always made sure every child had a smile, whether from the endless stream of toast from their four slice toaster or a piece of Bazooka gum from the Katz drug store. God bless Uncle Jack for all the sunshine he so generously provided.

I love you so very much, Dad. I hope you knew how much we all loved you and appreciated everything you did for us all your life. You worked hard every day to make life good for your family. You were always there for us and we could ALWAYS depend on your love and support. You and mom were the BEST PARENTS EVER, and I thank God for you always. You were proud of your military service with General Patton during WWII, and we are so grateful for all you did. If I could have thanked you a thousand times every day, it would never be enough to convey the heartfelt love and gratitude I have for you. You were such a kind & loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to all our kids. Everyone who knew you, loved you. I'm going to miss you so very much and pray that we'll meet again on that beautiful shore. I'm hoping that you're there now with Mom. You've missed her so much these last four years. Love you forever, Your Devoted Daughter, Robina.
Thank you, Mr. Scanio, for your service to our country. We love you.

We have so many wonderful memories of times spent with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scanio. They are amazing and generous people and the Vahey's are extremely blessed to have been included with the Scanio family. We will never forget and will always miss them both. We will really miss Mr. Scanio's hugs, wit and sense of humor. He could always make us smile. With deep sympathy to the family and loving thoughts forever, Joanna and the Vahey Family
