Jackson Simon James Suddenly on June 9th, aged 52 years.
Dear son of the late James and Ann. Beloved husband of Lisa, cherished dad of Eve, Isabelle and
step-dad of India, much loved brother of Moira, Paula, Marguerite and Joanna, loving brother-in-law of Dave, Paul and Gareth, dearest son-in-law of Marilyn and Keith, also a treasured uncle and friend of many. Family and friends please meet for Funeral Mass on Tuesday 30th June at 12noon in St Joseph's RC Church, Millfield, prior to private interment.

I shared a house with Simon in Hull (83/84). I had a car crash on my way to his wedding with Monica (noone seriously injured but we missed the ceremony). We holidayed with them to Switzerland and Venice. Simon was just great fun, great sense of humour. I really enjoyed times with him and was sad to learn about his death a few years after as we had sadly lost contact.

I'm so sad and sorry to hear about Simon. Simon was an amazing teacher and had such a talent with people. My thoughts are with his family x

A talented artist and teacher
Although I only saw Simon infrequently he was always able to offer me the nourishing gift and spirit of friendship, good humour, & optimism. A talented sculptor and teacher who will be sadly missed by all in the art community.
