Austin W. Tupler was born on December 11, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland. He died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88. He is predeceased by his wife, Ruth Tupler, and is survived by: Marc Tupler, Glen and Cynthia Tupler, David and Jodi Tupler and Linda Tupler Simmons and Joe Simmons, along with his grandchildren, Josh Tupler, Devin Tupler, Blake Simmons and wife Amanda Simmons, Lisa Simmons and Scott Simmons. He is also survived by brothers Milton Tupler and wife Sue Tupler, and Harold Tupler and predeceased by his brother Stanley Tupler. Austin Tupler served his country in the Navy Sea Bees from 1951 to 1955. Austin Tupler was the founder and creator of Austin Tupler Trucking, Inc. and M&G Fill Corp., Austin Tupler Trucking has been in business since 1956 and was incorporated in 1972. Austin Tupler was both the President and the Director of Austin Tupler Trucking and M&G Fill Corp., until 2003 at which time he stepped down to become Vice President. Austin and Ruth Tupler supported a number of charities over the years donating not only financially but their time as well. Austin sat on a variety Boards and Committees. Austin was integral in developing and building the David Posnack Jewish Community Center located in Davie. Austin was the Director of Landmark Bank of Plantation and Transflorida Bank, Chairman of the Board of Hollywood Memorial Hospital from 1973 to 1974, Commissioner of the South Broward Hospital District for five years, member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Board, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Health and Human Services Board, District 10, Director of the Broward County Better Business Bureau, Director of the Florida Trucking Association, Director of the Davie Chamber of Commerce, Charter member of the Davie/Cooper City Rotary Club, served as Treasurer of the Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Director of the E.A.S.E. Foundation (Emergency Assistance Service Effort), Director of the Broward County Juvenile Justice Board, member of the Broward County Juvenile Detention Center Advisory Board, Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee for Economic Development for the Town of Davie, founding member of the South Florida Cryonics Society and founding member of the Florida Association of General Contractors.

Dear Tupler Family,
I was saddened to hear of your dad's passing. I enjoyed working with him and always learned something new when meeting with him. He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.

Unfortunately we are at our summer home in New Hampshire and will be unable to attend the funeral services.
