I'm deeply saddened by the loss of these innocent people. Christopher, you were an amazing guy. From what I've read, you gave kids lunch money, or rides if students needed it. Although I've never met you, I send my condolences out to all your family and friends.

It's a horrible thing to lose a loved one in death. Especially when it seems so senseless. Please know that you are not alone in your feelings. Even our Heavenly Father is feeling the pain. May he be a constant part of your daily routine, through heartfelt prayer, he is ready and willing to listen. May the constant love of our caring God, your family, and friends help to soften your sadness. Please know that you are in our prayers.

To the family,
My deepest condolences in the passing of Christopher. He died protecting students from gunfire. His heroism will not go unnoticed by God. Notice what Hebrews 6:10 says, "For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed......" Yes God takes notice of righteous works. Christopher will receive life in paradise: You will be with me in Paradise. (Luke 23:43)

It is with a sad heart that we mourn the death of a hero. A hero who to us was a great kid, a kind boy who sat next to us in class, played football, wrestled, and just hung out with us. We graduated and as we all went our separate ways, we lost touch. As we watch the news and read the articles, we hear about the heroism of Chris Hixon. We hear of how he was loved and respected by those that surrounded him. To so many of us who lost touch with Chris after that 1986 graduation, we are not surprised that Chris acted to save others. Some may credit his heroism to his Naval training, and that definitely surely did, but ever since Chris moved to our school and became part of the Class of 1986, the boy we met, knew and adored, was hero material. May you Rest In Peace dear friend.

Mr. Hixon, aka "Robocop" thank you so much for taking our safety so seriously, when I attended Blanche Ely High school. I will never forget how you were always there to make sure we were safe and broke up every fight you witnessed and made sure we went where we had to go. We thought you were too serious about your job, but as an adult and now parent, I am so glad you were. You are a hero Mr. Hixon and we will miss and we thank you for everything.
