Raymond C. Ramey 72,left his loving wife,adoring family and good friends on April 25.2016 He was born in Baltimore Maryland to the late James and Catherine Ramey.Ray served 3 and half years in Germany a E6 staff sergeant and was stationed at company headquarters Munich ,Germany. After returning to the states he resided in Chicago,Illinois.During his working career ,he was National Sales Director for Ronko. Ray relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1978 where he constructed and owned the Spare Key store on 17th street causeway for 35 years. Ray is the current Commodore of Coral Ridge Yacht Club. He was the past commander of Coral Ridge Sail and Power Squadron,a lifetime member with 37 merit marks.,and achieved the grade of junior navigator .Ray is survived by his wife of 30 years Ellen , brother Gary Ramey and his sister Cathy Ramey and her husband Mark Lariviere in addition their daughter Juliet from NYC. Ray is also survived by his sister-in-law Christine Brown ,her son Jason Brown,and oldest son Gerald Brown,as well as Gerald 's wife Carly and Ray's great niece Savannah Elizabeth Brown.Ray's hobbies were all related to the water. He was an avid fisherman, scuba diver and boater . Ray was the proud owner of a 48 foot yacht named KOKOMO,which he and Ellen cruised to the Bahamas, the Florida keys and west coast of Florida .
