Carsello, Richard D., 76, of Plantation, FL died unexpectedly on Sept. 7, 2006. Richard (Dick), was originally from Chicago, Illinois and a resident of Plantation for 36 years. He served in the US Navy for three years (1953-1956) and had a distinguished 43-year career with Motorola where he provided contributions that were instrumental to the corporation's success. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Theresa and children: Kathy (Dan) Harlow, Mary (Neal) Goldman, Gerry (Pat) Carsello, Rosanne (Tracy) Regan, Jim (Vivian) Carsello, John Carsello, Dan (Belkis) Carsello, Stephen Carsello and the late Rich (Ena) Carsello. Dick also had 15 wonderful grandchildren: Kara, Matthew, Thomas, Tommy, Bryan, Kelly, Michael, Alex, Robert, Kristen, Lizzie, Natalie, Nicholas, Benjamin and Jake. They all adored their Grandpa and he loved them dearly. Dick was also the beloved brother of Delores Vanoni, Rosemarie Maher, and the late Norman, Vernon, & Elmer Carsello of Chicago. Dick was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather with a tremendous love for his family. He was a man with a generous spirit, tremendous work ethic and a love of music & exercise. His passion for life touched many. He will be missed dearly. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 12 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm @ T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home in Plantation, FL. A mass will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 10am, @ St. Gregory Catholic Church in Plantation, FL, followed by a procession to Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or a charity of your choice.
