Angelo Castricone Obituary

Castricone, Angelo, retired businessman. March 13, 1933 - November 5, 2005 A Mass of Christian Burial for Angelo Castricone will be offered Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Buffalo, NY followed by prayers in the MICHAEL A. DI VINCENZO FUNERAL HOME, 1122 E. Lovejoy St. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheektowaga, NY. Mr. Castricone, of Amherst and Hollywood, FL, died after a lengthy illness Saturday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. He was 72. Born in Buffalo, Mr. Castricone graduated East High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. He was a Korean War-era veteran of the Army and was a member of the Army band. Mr. Castricone worked in his father's business, Castricone Concrete, in Buffalo, then became a partner in Sloan Bowling Lanes in the 1950s and the Landmark Night Club, also in Sloan, NY. Angelo left for Florida in 1977 and operated C&M Marble & Onyx in Hollywood for about 25 years. He retired in 2000. He was a member of the Big Timers Club an Italian social organization, an avid golfer and an accomplished musician who played several instruments including guitar, trumpet & keyboards. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, the former Sharon Gervase, a sister Violet Misso-Celestino of Buffalo, NY, and brother, Cesidio of Charlotte, NC.

It's been many years since I've seen you. Living next door to you and Ang on Atlantic Ave was eons ago. Had some great times at the Bowling alley and Lankmark. Those were the good ole days. Lots of happy times. May the good memories help carry you through at this most difficult time. God Bless
