Frank - I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by you back in 1997 and aside from being amazed by watching you work magic, I had the extreme pleasure to sit and talk with you for about 6 hours. I haven't spoken with you for 17 yrs but I have to say that I just found out about your passing 4 months after the fact and I am CRUSHED! God Bless RIP

The man, myth, or a legend? With his soul canvassed across the world thru art, engraves strangers' skin. His spirit swims thru all, and can never end. With each drop of ink spread across the land, he melted drops of soul into you all by hand.
The man, myth, legend? A heart shared by infinite drops of blood, changed by a single pen. Needles dug deep from depths of a soul so the sting from his absence will never end. “You gave the people what they wanted friend, but some never knew they would be taking pieces of you!”
The man, myth or legend? That's for the world to decide. But one thing is certain; an inspiration of a generation needs no introduction. The art of his soul is life itself! This speaks to us all so loud and so free! That is why his world spoke… “You will be missed Frank Lee!”

Frank, you taught me everything i know about tattooing. I still can't believe you're gone. You will certainly NEVER be forgotten. Thank you for all the beautiful artwork. We had some great times man. I miss you. You were my hero coming up, and I will never forget that. Your influence left an indelible mark on both my skin and my soul. Thanks for being so unique. Thanks for being you.

I always relive the moment I heard "You do know, who's up the block right? The Legend Frank Lee" asked by a Tattoo fan. I later got to talk samurai swords,anime, charlie brown trivia and history as well as talk about the great art Masters. I learned he was a friend who would do anything for you and one of the most unique gems ever. Frank on FB your favorite quote says: you are not a special and unique snowflake
well after all this talk about your greatness, I guess you were my friend.

Frank you will be deeply missed.You were an innovator of flash, and when I first saw a page 18 years ago, I was blown away. A true artist and visionary.
