T. Alan Glover

T. Alan Glover, 78, of Seaford, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 after a five year illness.

He was a 1956 graduate of Seaford High School and a 1961graduate of Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington.

He was employed by Litton Industries for 14 years, Home Beneficial Life Insurance for 19 years and worked part-time for Kaye Construction for 15 years.

He was a member of the Delaware National guard for seven years and a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

Alan is survived by his wife of more than 45 years, Barbara Collins Glover; four daughters, Cyndy Glover of Salisbury, Md., Gwen DiCarlo (Tony) of Seaford, Kelley Boyce (Blair) of Laurel and Karla Mears of Georgetown; four grandsons, Jason Boyce (Amber), Michael DiCarlo (Allison), Kyle Boyce (Stephanie) and Justin Mears; eight great-grandchildren, Tatum Otwell, Caleb Boyce, Colbie Boyce, Jillian Watson, Mariyah DiCarlo, Willow Boyce, Haley and Cameron Deiter. He is also survived by his aunt, Hester White.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Glover and Agnes Carey, stepfather, Reuben Carey and aunt and uncle, Joshua and Mabel Hastings.

Alan's family is most grateful for all of the kindness shown to Alan and for the care provided by the medical staff at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Life Care at Lofland Park and Compassionate Care Hospice. Also his aid from Generations Home Care, Ngozi Ononuju.

Funeral Services were Monday, Jan. 23rd, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
