Aggie Rae (Kirchman) Saunders Self Obituary
Aggie Rae Kirchman Saunders Self, 95, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born December 24, 1922 in Ottine, TX, and was raised in Bronte where they moved in 1925. She lived in Taylor County and was married to H. F. Saunders. He preceded in her death. She came to Runnels County in 1966 and married Hilburn P. Self on December 27, 1967 in Sweetwater. She worked for a time at the Fireside Restaurant in Winters and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Rae was preceded in death by brothers: J.D. Kirchman, Robert Kirchman, Leslie Kirchman, and J.D. "Pete" Kirchman; sisters: Nancy Grantham, Mattie Payne, Janie McGallian, and Martha Hester; and great-grandson Jonathan Ingram.
She is survived by 5 children: Clayton Saunders and wife Nancy of Cat Springs, TX, Harvey Saunders and wife Aundrea Saunders of McLoud, OK, Linda Hyde of Nolan, TX, Ann McCoy and husband John of Farmington, NM, and Robin Perdue and husband Jim of Farmington, NM; sister Sue Campbell of Round Rock, TX; brother B.J. Kirchman of Seattle, WA; 9 grandchildren: Kevin Saunders and wife Jennifer, Keith Saunders and wife Dena, Duane Hyde and wife Cyree, Stacy Hyde and Lara, Shelley Faust and husband Denny, Amber Helmcamp and husband David, Jessica Fauteaux and husband Michael, Regina Ingram, and Melissa Williams; as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Slaters Chapel Cemetery in Divide under the direction of the Winters Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Duane Hyde, Kevin Saunders, Keith Saunders, David Helmcamp, Denny Faust, Michael Fauteaux, Michael Hyde and Cole Helmcamp.
