Ben William Warton II Obituary
Ben William Warton II went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at the age of 68.
Born to Ben "Bill" William Warton Sr. and Pauline Warton on April 7, 1947 in Stamford, Ben attended Sweetwater High School, Western Texas College and Texas Tech University. Ben was a Minister at the Snyder First Baptist Church, Director of MHMR in Abilene, Director of Bluebonnet MHMR in Marble Falls and a private practice counselor in Marble Falls.
The many people who were blessed to have known Ben knew him as the most loving and gentle individual they had ever met. With a servant's heart, influential counsel and sensitivity towards others' needs, Ben never missed a moment to be there for someone. His inspirational guidance and overwhelming tender spirit will live on through the many people he became close to throughout his lifetime. Ben was utterly devoted to his children and grandchildren while never missing an opportunity to be with his family.
Ben leaves to cherish his memory: a brother, Fred and Julie Warton of Austin; a daughter, Tracy and Brently Irvin of Abilene; a son, Ben William Warton III of Dallas; a daughter, Kaitlyn Warton of Abilene; three granddaughters, Lauren Irvin, Ellen Irvin and Kathryn Irvin of Abilene; and a niece, Tamara Warton of Austin.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m. at Fourth and Elm Church of Christ, 400 Elm Street in Sweetwater, Texas.
