Beulah (Gaston) Chapman Obituary
Graveside service for Beulah Gaston Chapman, 88, of Blackwell, will be on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Decker Cemetery with Reverend John Curry officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 1st Baptist Church in Blackwell, TX from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
Chapman died on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on February 19, 1928 in Blackwell. She married Jack Chapman on August 23, 1948 in Blackwell.
She was born to Ollie Henry and Mary Lea Gaston on February 19, 1928 in Blackwell, TX. She went to Blackwell High School. After high school, she went on and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked for over 40 Years at Roscoe Hospital, Simmons Memorial Hospital and Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackwell, TX, where she also volunteered many times. She loved to go to Blackwell High School football games. She loved playing dominos with her family, loved doing puzzles, loved wind chimes and humming birds, and she loved flowers. She loved nursing, and most of all loved her family and she loved living life.
Survivors include her son, Randy Chapman and wife Gayla of Vernon, Texas; grandson, Tom Chapman of San Antonio; two great grandsons, Daulton Chapman and Mitchell Chapman; one great granddaughter, Kyleigh Chapman; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Chapman in 1965; two daughters, Marguerite "Monty" Hahn and Vesta Lee "Sis" Wilson; son-in-law, Don Wilson; and siblings, L.D. Gaston, Cliff Gaston, Fred Gaston, Kell Gaston, Margaret Gaston Cole, Marie Gaston Romine, G.K. Gaston, and Bob Gaston.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hoppy Sedberry, Skipper Gaston, Wayne Woodard, Tommy Cornelius, Tommy Bledsoe, and Roy Allen Cole.
In lieu of flowers, Beulah wanted donations be made to Decker Cemetery (1801 CR 273 Maryneal,TX 79535) or to the .
