Dennis Ray Taylor Obituary
A memorial service for Dennis Ray Taylor, 59, of Bedford, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Highland Heights United Methodist Church with Reverend Jake Wade officiating under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
He died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his home.
He was born on May 10, 1956 in Sweetwater. Dennis was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and TSTI with an Associate of Applied Science degree. He had worked for Ludlum Measurements as an Engineer Technician and for Texas Instruments as a Robotics Technician for 18 years. He had lived in Bedford for the past 24 years moving from Sweetwater. Dennis was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church in Sweetwater.
Survivors include his sons, Brian Eric Taylor of Bedford and Adam Robert Taylor of Bedford; sister, Linda Wade and husband Orin of Midland; brothers, L.B. Taylor and wife Martha of Sweetwater and Douglas Taylor and wife Jenene of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Briana Taylor of Sweetwater and Tristen Taylor of Tennessee; and aunt and uncle, Katherine and Elmer Smith of Fritch, Texas.
Dennis is also survived by a very loving special friend, Niki Ruks; two former wives; and six step children, Daniel Birdsong, Tracy Meador, Ann McSaul, Lynda Kitchens, Jennifer W. Moore and Justin Wommer. He also has several step grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and co-workers all of whom he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant Taylor on Feb. 3, 1986 and Aetna (McGlothlin) Taylor on March 8, 2006; a brother, James Taylor on Oct. 27, 1998; and his nephew, Linn David Taylor on July 27, 2013.
