Dorothy Fern (Jacobs) London, 94, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 4, 2017 in Canon City, CO.
Dorothy was born to Frank and Frances Jacobs on March 4, 1923 in Crandall, Texas. She graduated from Pyron High School and went on to graduate from Draughn's Business College in Abilene Texas. On July 6, 1945, she married Lawrence Alton London in Sweetwater Texas. They were happily married for 48 years and built a beautiful life together.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry (Sharon) London of Arlington, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn (Ronald) Claflin of Canon City, CO; grandchildren, Britt (Kendra) London, Blake London, Brooke (Brian) Dignan, Lisa (Mike) Tedesko, Lori (Jason) Hendress. Dorothy also had fifteen great grandchildren; Jace (Peyton) London, Morgan London, Lorin Tedesko, Ali Tedesko, Kolby London, Justice London, Brianna London, Sydney London, Grace Bressler, Brayden London, Ainslee Dignan, Evan Dignan, Rylee Hendress and Ryann Hendress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Jacobs; sister, Frances Huntzicker; husband, Lawrence Alton London and granddaughter, Heather Dawn Claflin.
Dorothy was a devout Christian and a treasure to all who knew her. She had a smile that could light up any room and loved her family and friends deeply. She became a member of Wastella Baptist Church near Roscoe Texas after trusting the Lord as a teenager and was a longtime member of Lamar Street Baptist Church in Sweetwater Texas. She was very active in her church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years. Dorothy was known for being a fervent prayer warrior for anyone who crossed her path. While living in Texas she was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Tau Theta Chapter in Roscoe Texas, the West Texas Porcelain Art Club in Sweetwater Texas and the Cottonwood Home Demonstration Club in Sweetwater Texas. After moving to Colorado in 2005, she joined the First Southern Baptist Church in Canon City, CO. She was also a member of Women's Connection and Fourmile Community Club of Canon City, CO.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 13th, 10:00 am at Lamar Street Baptist Church in Sweetwater with Rev. Keith Clifton officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Britt London, Blake London, Brian Dignan, Jason Hendress, Mike Tedesko.
