Earl Deward Lewis Obituary
Earl Deward Lewis 86, of Nolan passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Nolan Cemetery with Rev. Vic Meyer officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Earl was born June 8, 1931 in Nolan County to the late Clarence Wilburn and Pearl Izadora (McCoy) Lewis. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. Earl worked for the United States Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation for 20 years. He was a faithful member of the Nolan Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters Sherren Weiss and husband Dale of McGregor, TX, Debbie Bruner and husband Bubba of Robinson, TX, Cyndi Hamilton and husband Alex of Brenham, TX; grandchildren Jason Weiss and wife Tiffany of Belton, TX; Kody Ellis of Robinson, TX; Lexie Hamilton of Brenham, TX; Eli Hamilton of Brenham, TX; great grandchildren Abigail Weiss of Belton, TX; Cason Weiss of Belton, TX; brother Bill Lewis of Sweetwater, TX; sister Fannie Ventle and husband Don of Lubbock, TX; sister Della Rice and husband Byron of Weatherford, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gwen Null and Martha Burleson and brother J.H. Lewis. Pallbearers will be Bubba Bruner, Dale Weiss, Kody Ellis, Jason Weiss and Eli Hamilton. Family and friends are invited after the services to the Nolan Community Center for remembrances of Earl, food and fellowship.
