Eulalia "LaLa" Cantu Obituary
Eulalia "LaLa" Cantu, 96, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 29 at 10 A.M. at Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart) Catholic Church with Father Michael Rodriquez officiating. Burial will follow at Palava Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. A Rosary will be said by Lupe Medillin at 7 P.M. Friday at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
Lala was born December 10, 1920 in Beeville, TX. She married Francisco Cantu February 20, 1940 in Edinburg, TX and moved to Longworth, TX in 1949. She was a Homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Parish Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Cantu, a daughter Eva Cantu, a son Roy Cantu, a daughter-in-law Vera Cantu, a son-in-law David Pena.
She is survived by six sons; Frank Cantu, Jr., Albaro Cantu, Sr., Wally Cantu, Roland Cantu, Sr. and Adam Cantu, all of Sweetwater, TX and Arthur Cantu, Sr. of Stamford, TX, four daughters; Myra Pena of Lubbock, TX, Macy Gutierrez of Snyder, TX, Delia Ruiz and Solia Gutierrez both of Sweetwater, TX, thirty five grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jose Cruz, Michael Cantu, Arnulfo Orozco, Tony Palma, Gerado Cansino, Chris Cantu.
