Haylee Chere Owen-Martin Obituary
Haylee Chere Owen-Martin, 43, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Ryan Strebeck officiating.
A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Haylee was born November 21, 1972 in Odessa, TX to Jerry and Barbara Owen. She married Cory Martin on July 7, 2016 in Sweetwater.
Haylee was a 1991 Graduate of San Angelo Central High School. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Angelo State University. Haylee was the former owner of Curves, Suntrax, and The Water Store in Sweetwater. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Sweetwater Softball Association and was active in PTO until her illness.
Surviving Haylee are husband, Cory Martin of Sweetwater; daughter, Emily Martin of Sweetwater; stepson, Dalton Martin and family of Anson; stepdaughter, Kyerstyn Martin of Clyde; granddaughter, Lilly Martin of Anson; parents, Jerry and Barbara Owen of Snyder; brother, Trent Owen and wife Kimberly of Austin; parents-in-law, Richard and Angila Spicer of Abilene; nephew, Brady Owen of Austin; sister-in-law, Jennifer Honea and family of Abilene; brother-in-law, Ryan and Julie Spicer of Abilene; grandmother, Alice Owen of Snyder; grandmother-in-law, Charlene Garner of Abilene; sister-in-law, Lori Loftus and family of Midland; sister-in-law, Jenny Spicer and family of Sweetwater; special aunt, Sherry Patterson of Cameron; and many beloved cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Frumovitz of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Dr. Jose Vega and the special team of nurses in the chemo lab of Hendricks Cancer Center in Abilene for their extraordinary care of Haylee.
