James David Whisenant Obituary
James David Whisenant, 54, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his residence. Services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Michael Harbour officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
James was born May 7, 1963 in Sweetwater, Texas. James was a life long resident of Sweetwater graduating from Sweetwater High School in 1981. He attended Lubbock Christian College two years. He was a Salesman several years with his family at Sweetwater Electric before retiring. James was a life long member of Fourth and Elm Church of Christ. He is survived by his parents; W. B. And Thelma Whisenant of Sweetwater, Texas, two brothers; Billy Whisenant and wife September of Sweetwater, Texas, Steve Whisenant and wife Cindy of Amarillo, Texas, two sisters; Kathy Rainey and husband Ronnie of Sweetwater, Texas, Susan Maxwell and husband Craig of New Caney, Texas, four nephews and one niece, two great nephews and one great niece. Pallbearers will be Dennis Campbell, Aubrey Crowley, Freddie Deleon, Marc Moore, Dennis Orr, Jeff Stein and Gary Watson.
