Jefrey Lynn Norton Obituary
Services for Jefrey Lynn Norton, 60, of Sweetwater, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Reverend Jeff Lay officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Norton died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 in Sweetwater.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1955 in Lamesa. He was a member of Rockhill Baptist Church in Brownsboro. He was a graduate of Dardanell High School in Arkansas. Jefrey worked many years in ceiling tile construction and he owned and operated Best Catfish in Texas restaurant in the Metroplex.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Ella Sue Neal Norton of Ben Wheeler, TX; two step-sons, Wade Neal of Tyler and Chad Neal and wife Brandy of Tyler; step daughter, Sheree Fortney and husband Clarence of Lawton, Okla.; five grandchildren, Kellan Fortney, Kevin Reese, Alexa Neal, Nic Neal, Shanayna and husband Chris; five great-grandchildren, Aubrey Fortney, Fiddalee Fortney, Carson Neal, Julia Reese and Kadance Reese; sisters, Betty Norton Davis of Lake Dallas and Sandra Norton Hilley of Sweetwater; brothers, Lonnie Norton of Lubbock, Gary Norton and wife Linda of Tucumcari, N.M., Larry Norton and wife Donna of Lubbock, and David Norton and ex-wife Donna of Sweetwater; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon Paul Norton on June 23, 1995 and Elinor Roebuck Norton on April 7, 1998; and two brothers, Joe and Paul Norton.
Pallbearers will be Michael Glass, Logan Glass, Rhylon Glass, Lee McNeil, Shannon Norton and Clinton McVay.
