Graveside services for Johnnie Allen Smith, 86, of Longview, formerly of Sweetwater, will be at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Reverend Matt McGowen officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Visitation will be one hour before the services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at McCoy Funeral Home.
Smith died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at Baylor Hospital in Carrollton.
She was born on May 21, 1929 in Sweetwater. She married Ollie Smith on May 10, 1947 in Sweetwater and they were married for 54 years.
She went through school in Sweetwater. She was a life-long resident of Sweetwater. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, travel, playing dominos and spending time with family.
Survivors include her son, Terry and his wife Pam; daughter, Sheila Logan and her husband Gary; brother, James Roden of Abilene; sister, Mary Frances Mathieu and husband B.J. of Irving; four grandchildren, Steven Smith and his wife Jennifer, Barrett Smith and his wife Kelley, Crystal Marshall and her husband Randy and Clint Logan and his wife Melissa; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Smith, on Feb. 10, 2002; her brother, Tommy Roden; and her parents, Curtis and Grace Roden.
