Jose Luis Sanchez Lopez, 63, of Bronte, passed away on Dec. 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Viewing was from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 10, 2014 and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Evaristo Granado, pastor of Roscoe Worship Center, officiating. Burial will take place in the Blackwell Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1951, to Refugio and Rosalia (Lopez) Sanchez in Mexico. Jose was self employed in fencing and ranching. On Dec. 2, 1979 he married Armandina Rios in Cd. Acuna, Mexico. Jose and Armandina lived in Bronte, Texas. He loved his animals, horseback riding, gardening, music and working on his ranch. He especially loved the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and sons-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalia Lopez; father, Refugio Sanchez; son, Jose Luis Sanchez Jr.; five sisters; and two brothers.
Jose is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years, Armandina; two daughters, Nancy Sanchez and husband, Alex Garcia and Rosalia Sanchez and husband, Eugene Lopez, all of Roscoe; three sons, Jesse and wife, Gracie Sanchez of Laredo, Daniel Sanchez and partner Michael Dungan of San Angelo and Salvador Sanchez of Bronte; and brother, Juan Manuel Sanchez Lopez of Mexico.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Gentiva Hospice for the loving care during our time with them.
