Linda Beth Luckey Obituary
Linda was born October 16, 1941 in Sweetwater. She married John L. Luckey July 6, 1962 in Sweetwater and they moved back to Sweetwater from Merkel, Texas twenty years ago. Linda retired from Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene after thirty-five years of civil service as Base Housing Officer. She had received numerous awards from the Air Force during her civil service as Base Housing Officer. She did volunteer work at the Nolan County-City Library and the WASP Museum in Nolan County. Linda was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband John L. Luckey of Sweetwater, grandson James Aluckey Wass and Tiffiny of Sweetwater, great granddaughter Autumn Wass of Sweetwater, son-in-law William Wass of Sweetwater and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Jimmie F. Whitworth July 20, 1999, Kathleen S. (Waddell) Whitworth May 29, 2005, daughter Sherryl Yvette Wass November 20, 2011 and her brother James Lee Whitworth June 7, 1992.
