Maudie Marie Eivens, age 88, of Sweetwater passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Mitchell County Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at McCaulley Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Shipp officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Tuesday. McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Maudie was born April 20, 1929 in Sagerton, Texas to the late William Robert and Nannie Belle (Ross) Beene. She married Billie Wayne Eivens November 1, 1949 in Hamlin, Texas. Maudie was a graduate of Hamlin High School in 1945 and had lived in Sweetwater since 1952. She worked for Star Steam Laundry, Sweetwater High School in the Cafeteria, was a seamstress for Spartan Industries and retired after many years from Walls Industries. Maudie was a member of Avondale Baptist Church and loved to Line Dance. She is survived by her daughter; Ruby Jean Wilson of Colorado City, sons; Billy Eivens and wife Marilyn of Sweetwater and Johnny Eivens and wife Penny of Sweetwater, her grandchildren; Misty Mosher and husband Anvil of Loraine, Jessica Eivens and James Eivens and wife Kristi all of Sweetwater, Angalyn Eivens of Dallas, Chad Warren and wife Stephanie of San Angelo. She also is survived by her great grandchildren; Anvil Mosher, Jr. and wife Karah of Sweetwater, Tristan Mosher and wife Katie of Colorado City, Layton Mosher of Loraine, Adri Moreno and Jordan Williams of Sweetwater, Cameron Doty and Madelyn Eivens of San Angelo and Tyler Potter of Hawaii, great great grandchildren Brayden, Trenton, Klohie, Tyler and Draven of Sweetwater and Gabriel of Abilene. Maudie was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Billy Wayne Smith , one sister and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Anvil Mosher, James Eivens, Anvil Mosher, Jr., Tristan Mosher, Layton Mosher, Chad Eivens, Matthew Wofford and Cameron Doty. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Straley.
