Modesta "Cheno" Segovia Obituary
On October 8, 2017 Modesta "Cheno" Segovia, 83, was called to be with the Lord. Cheno was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and served as a Guadalupana. Cheno was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and helping others. Cheno had a caring, tender heart and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse G. Segovia Sr. April 5, 1980 and a son Antonio Segovia July 15, 1978 and her two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Spradlin and her two daughters, Meagan Spradlin and Erin Skaats, son Joe Segovia, his wife Margie, and his three children, Joe Segovia, Matt Segovia, Valerie Wagner, and her eldest son Jesse Segovia Jr. and his children John Isaac Segovia and Jesse A. Segovia III. A Rosary service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at McCoy Chapel of Memories recited by Deacon Bill Butler. Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10 A.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 with Father Nilo Nalugon officiating. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Segovia, Jesse Segovia III, Joe Segovia, Jr., Matthew Segovia, Michael Connors, Nicholas Skaats, Paul Hernandez, Brendon Wagner.
