Nelda Wanda (Head) Bond Obituary
Nelda Wanda (Head) Bond, age 85, of Sweetwater passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 27, 2017 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Mike Ensminger officiating.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Nelda was born May 28, 1931 at Trent, Texas to the late Ninnie Burk and Carrie Edna (Jones) Head. She married Billy Clayton Bond in Abilene, Texas and Billy passed away February 12, 1987.
Nelda had worked for Buchanan's Flower Shop as a florist and also for SISD in the cafeteria as a cook. She had lived in Nolan County most of her life and was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church.
Nelda is survived by her sons Randal Bond of Sweetwater, Gaylon Bond and wife Starla of Sweetwater, Leslie Bond and wife Barbara of Sweetwater, her sister Christine Walker of Sweetwater, brothers Clarence Head, Hollis Head and S.C. Head and wife Earlene all of Sweetwater and Dalton Head and wife Diane of Abilene, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason and Betsy Bond of Snyder, Texas, Stacie, Jessica and Guy Bond all of Sweetwater and her great grandchildren Braid and Jake Bond of Snyder and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She is also preceded in death by her sister Cleamtine V. Wilson and brother Junior Head. Pallbearers will be Jason Bond, Guy Bond, David Walker, Kirby Head, Joe Head and Ethan Head.
